Dennings was in a relationship with Nick Zano from 2011-2014, she was her co-star on "2 Broke Girls". Following their breakup the couple began to date Josh Groban. They remained together until the year 2016. At the beginning of 2021, Dennings met music producer Andrew W.K. The pair soon began to date and announced their engagement in May of 2021. Dennings was a fan of the singer from 2014 onwards. Though Dennings was Jewish She has said that she identifies more with the Jewish faith on a personal as well as a cultural basis and doesn't make religion an integral part of her daily life. Her interests include reading, gardening and painting. She was planning to enroll in arts school previously however, her plans were destroyed by a flood that destroyed her portfolio. It was an extremely clear signal for her to go into acting. She doesn't drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes, and likes meditation in Transcendental form. She is also an advocate for the rights of animals and has an animal as a pet.
